On January 29 delegation of the Nordic Council of Ministers, led by Ambassador Kari Kahiluoto visited European Humanities University (EHU) and met the leadership of the University.

EHU President Prof. Anatoli Mikhailov and EHU Rector Prof. David Pollick welcomed the delegation of the Nordic Council of Ministers, composed of member of the The Nordic Committee for Co-operation Ambassador Kari Kahiluoto, Chief of Staff at the Secretary General's Office Kenneth Broman, Counsellor of the Embassy of Finland to Lithuania Maria Ågren, and Director of the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Lithuania Bo Harald Tillberg.

During their visit the high-ranking guests and the leadership of the University discussed the results of EHU activity in Lithuania and future development perspectives, as well as the preparation for the events dedicated to EHU’s 10th anniversary in Vilnius. The main topic of discussion was EHU and Nordic Council of Ministers strategic partnership and the search for new ways of supporting Belarusian students, who strive to receive ideology-free liberal arts education.

EHU Rector Prof. David Pollick concluded: “We’ve had a serious discussion regarding University’s future and the support provided to our project by partners from the Nordic countries and the Nordic Council of Ministers”.

The delegation also visited University Campus to learn more about the EHU study process.

The Nordic Council of Ministers is one of the main EHU donors, who consistently support EHU activities for almost a decade. The Nordic Council of Ministers has been administering the EHU Trust Fund since its establishment.
