Twenty young people from Belarus and Germany discussed different views on European integration at EHU’s Political Fall Academy in Frankfurt am Main. The Academy is one of the activities designed to promote linkages between EHU, Belarus, and German society by EHU’s German support group, the EHU Förderinitiative e.V.
Students from EHU and other Belarusian universities as well as students from Goethe University had the chance to get to know each other while discussing a topic of political significance. Guided by experts and scholars of European integration, participants discussed how EU institutions, civil society organizations, and businesses operate, got a glimpse at the role that “dual education” and employee participation play in Germany’s social market economy, and discussed Belarusian realities and the role of EHU, as well.
The program was enriched by visits to the European Central Bank and the Frankfurt am Main Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Political Fall Academy 2014 was jointly organized by EHU-Förderinitiative e. V., EHU, and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University, and was sponsored by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
