On Wednesday, December 12, a blood donation action was held on the EHU campus. The charitable event was organized by the Student Unions of EHU and Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), along with LitPro, as part of the project, “Santa Claus Comes to Town.” Around fifty people donated blood to Lithuania’s National Blood Center in the one-day initiative.
This is the third year in a row that the blood donation initiative, started by EHU Students’ Union, has taken place.
According to the project leader, fourth-year undergraduate student Alexandra Logvinova, the project is aimed at motivating students to do good and perform benevolent deeds.
Fourth-year MRU student, Ilona Dasiukevič, said, “I was on my way to the dormitory when I saw the blood donation was going on and decided to participate. I want to be useful in some way. I hope it will help somebody.”
And third-year EHU student, Veranika Yarashuk, added, “I have never had such an experience and would like to do something good. This is painless and fast.”
