In 2016 European Humanities University (EHU) in Vilnius ranks third among six private universities in Lithuania. This ranking was announced by the Lithuanian publication Reitingai, which annually ranks Lithuanian universities and colleges.
When ranking Lithuanian universities, experts from Reitingai assess the activities of Lithuanian universities within 65 different criteria, grouped into seven major categories. Based on the overall calculation EHU ranks third among six private universities in Lithuania.
This year EHU is ranked Lithuania’s top private university according to several criteria. High-quality research output and faculty achievements were highly recognized by the experts.
The article notes that EHU is the best Lithuania’s private university in terms of the large number of young faculty members and the large number of faculty members with PhDs, as well as the low student-faculty ratio.
EHU’s competitiveness in the international educational space category contributes immensely to EHU’s top position among other private universites.
This is the forth year that EHU is participating in Lithuania’s national university rankings.
EHU was officially registered as a private Lithuanian university on March 9, 2016, after its forced closure by the Belarusian authorities in 2004. As the only Belarusian university operating in an environment of academic freedom, it serves approximately 1,100 mostly Belarusian students, offering undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate degree programs, contributes to the promotion research activities in the field of humanities and social sciences.
