EHU media lab will be led by renowned journalist

Journalist, editor, and TV host Rita Miliūtė has been chosen to head the European Humanities University’s (EHU) state-of-the-art media center, known as MediaHub. She comes to EHU from Lithuanian State Radio and Television, where she is the host of the weekly show The Right to Know.

As head of EHU's MediaHub, Miliūtė will work on managing and expanding its educational offerings and public outreach. The media lab was established in 2010 at the initiative of EHU's Media Department and with the support of the BBC World Service Trust, the European Commission, and IREX Europe. It includes fully-equipped TV and radio studios and is a unique environment for students to learn to use advanced media technology through hands-on educational programs.

“During my career, I have been fortunate to work alongside media professionals and leaders. I look forward to sharing this valuable experience with EHU students,” says Miliūtė.

Miliūtė is a seasoned journalist and media manager. She has served as deputy general manager and head of the television department at Lithuanian State Radio and Television (LRT), and has led the news departments of radio station M-1 and LNK TV—Lithuania's second largest broadcaster. Miliūtė holds a degree in communications and information from Vilnius University.
