The Governing Board of the European Humanities University (EHU) is expanding to include two distinguished individuals with backgrounds in European affairs as well as student and faculty representatives.
EHU’s General Assembly of Part-Owners (GAPO) approved the membership of Petras Auštrevičius, a Lithuanian Member of the European Parliament, and Ludger Kühnhardt, Professor of Political Science and Director at the Center for European Integration Studies at Bonn University (Germany).
“Mr. Auštrevičius actively supports the European Humanities University at the European Parliament and participates in the University’s activities in Vilnius. Prof. Kühnhardt participates in EHU's academic life and has supported EHU’s mission since the University was founded in Minsk. We very much appreciate their efforts and contributions,” says Daniel Tarschys, Chair of EHU’s Governing Board.
Faculty and students will also be represented on the University’s Governing Board. The University's faculty will be represented by the Chair of the University Senate, currently Professor Emeritus Ryhor Miniankou. The mode of student representation will be confirmed by GAPO at its next meeting, following consultations with students and the EHU Student Union.
