EHU alumnus will lead New York Belarusians

European Humanities University (EHU) alumnus Andrus Asadchy has been elected leader of the New York Chapter of the Belarusan-American Association (BAZA).

BAZA is the oldest and largest Belarusian organization in the United States. It advocates for the democratic development of Belarus and respect for human rights, as well as promoting Belarusian culture and history.

Asadchy graduated from EHU's Master of Public Policy program in 2012; he earned a Bachelor in Belarusian Studies in 2010; and a Bachelor in Political Science and European Studies in 2009. He was chair of EHU's Student Union in 2008–2009.
