More than 160 EHU alumni, students, and faculty gathered in Minsk for the annual EHU Alumni Reunion and initiation of first-year low-residence students. It was one of the largest reunions ever held in Belarus and the first since the establishment of the EHU Alumni Association.
“The reunion was widely promoted in social networks by the EHU Alumni Association, which was established last year. We were very excited that Siarhei Kharytonau, President of the Alumni Association, met the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, told him the EHU story, and recorded a video greeting from him to our alumni,” says EHU Alumni Relations Coordinator and alumnus Andrei Khrapavitski (BA Political Science and European Studies, 2010).
The event opened with video greetings from EHU President and Founding Rector Anatoli Mikhailov, Acting Rector David Pollick, Senate Chair Ryhor Miniankou, and EHU Alumni Association President Siarhei Kharytonau (BA International Law 2011).
The speeches were followed by an interactive program prepared by EHU Alumni Maksim Lashuk (BA International Law 2011) and Yauhen Saliankou (BA History of Belarus and Cultural Anthropology 2009), a concert by the band Artefakt, and a pirate-themed party.
